An Evening of Reflection: A Special Screening of Soul
Saturday, September 13, 2025 • 20 Elul 5785
6:00 PM - 9:15 PMSocial Hall As we approach the High Holy Days, we invite you to a unique evening of spiritual preparation and reflection. Join us for a screening of Disney/Pixar's Soul, a film that beautifully and poignantly explores the very questions we grapple with during this season of teshuvah (repentance) and renewal.
Soul delves into the profound themes of purpose, identity, and the meaning of a life well-lived. Through the journey of Joe Gardner, we are challenged to look beyond our ambitions and reconnect with the simple, yet profound, experiences that give our lives meaning. What does it truly mean to be a "mensch"? Are we living a life of authentic connection, or are we just going through the motions?
This is more than just a movie; it's a jumping-off point for deep personal reflection. Following the film, we will transition directly into our congregational Selichot service, carrying the themes of the movie into our prayers and communal preparation for the Days of Awe.
Let's begin our journey toward Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur together. We hope you will join us for this special evening of film and fellowship as we prepare our hearts and minds for the year to come.
Movie will begin at 6:15 pm followed by our beautiful Selichot service at 8:15 pm
