Adult Learning
Adult Learning
Jewish learning is a lifelong endeavor, and while many might focus on Jewish education for children and youth, Jewish learning is for every individual of every age. The clergy at Temple Beth Tikvah, along with our Director of Congregational Learning, community partners, and many volunteers work hard to provide opportunities for adults to explore Judaism with fellow congregants. From Scholar Events, to Jewish cooking, Wise Aging to Adult B'nai Mitzvah, Temple Beth Tikvah offers a wide variety of adult enrichment and learning opportunities. Please see our calendar for the latest classes and programs.
Summer/Fall 2022 Adult Education
How does Jewish Law/Tradition respond to the modern Headlines of our day? When does life begin? Is there a difference between the life of a human and an animal? What is our responsibility to the planet? How should the community respond to discord? And more….Join Rabbi Shuval-Weiner for an exploration of these topics through an examination of the commentaries of ancient and modern sages. Four Thursday evenings 7:30 PM August 18, 25 & September 1, 8. RSVP.
Conversational Hebrew: Learn modern Hebrew and practice your skills with beloved Israeli teacher Musia Oren.
